How to Measure Foam Filled Tyre 0010010 #39;s Bead Width
Measure with the tyre
If you have an available foam filled tyre, the following are the correct steps to measure its bead width.
a. Measure the bead width from outside edge to outside edge just as showed in picture 1.
b. Record the data. This is the proper bead width measurement.

Measure with the rim
If you currently do not have the foam filled tire in hand. You can measure the rim in the following steps:
A. Measure the rim 0010010 #39;s bead from the inside edge to the inside edge just as picture 2 shows. 0010010 nbsp;
B. Note the measurement. 0010010 nbsp;
C. Add approximately a quarter of an inch to this measurement. And this data will be the bead width of the foam filled tire u want.

If properly measured, the outside bead width of the tire will be wider than the inside bead width of the rim. Once the tire and rim are assembled, the tire will have compression against the inside bead of the rim, which will prevent the tire from spinning while the rim does not.
Note: The examples shown in the pictures are not the actual matching tire and rim. The tire has an outside bead width of , the rim has an inside bead width of .
